Not familiar with 49er café, where is that located?
Have always used the Crowbar as a stop.

Eric and I had a great lunch at Panament Springs. Not sure if that would fit in this ride.
I guess if I'm leading then who knows.

Here is my favorite route, where people could jump in or fall out at different points.
Meet point at 159/160 Gas Station.
Ride to the Old Spanish Highway turn off over to Tecopa.
I like the right fork at Tecopa that takes you through the village and hot pools going over to Shoshone.
I stop at Crowbar for breakfast and warm up, in years past Irnbear has met us here for breakfast.
We have had people just ride to here and then return due to limited time and the Dirt Guys have separated from here.
Usually top my tank at the Chevron just incase I had to pull a gallon off for someone with limited range (never had to).
From Shoshone you turn about a mile up the road on the Badwater road and enjoy the nice cruise to Badwater Basin.
Just watch for other bikes who cruise into your side of the road and run some of your group off the road!
Spend a bit at Badwater taking pics and shooting the sh!t.
Continue towards Furnace Creek but catch the Artist Pallet loop.
DO keep in mind on Artist Pallet it is one way narrow windy road with tourist vehicles that can jump out on you unexpectedly.
Extremely soft sand to sides of road that have had 2 different bikes wonder into on 2 different trips and amazingly they kept upright.
Continue on towards Furnace Creek after the loop, but when you hit the fork in the road leading to Furnace Creek or Armagosa I turn right and go visit Dantes View.
After Dantes I drop back to Furnace Creek to have a snack and drink and BS by the fire pits.
In years past we have had about half the group turn and burn from here returning through Armagosa.
I then like to ride into Beatty and visit the Nut n Candy Factory and catch myself some Subways.
If time and light permit you can also work in Rhyolite.
But there are other choices to eat in Beatty, just Subways is convenient.
Then top tank and burn that 110 miles back to Vegas.
Just my 2 cents of how I prefer to ride it, have mixed it up over the years to try and show new stuff to the regulars like Tombstone.
Tombstone when planning it this year was looking at mixing in China Ranch Date Farm before Tecopa and Shoshone.
Tom and I will meet up this week and chat so he can finalize his plans.

If some want to go up to Amargosa the Longstreet Casino at the Nevada line has good food.

I take it they have re-opened the road into DV just north of Shoshone? (over Salisbury Pass) It was still closed due to flood damage last time I was through. Good to know! I like that ride, but I'll be in AZ with the Razor. Have fun!

I didn't know the Badwater road reopened either but I checked the DV conditions page and it looks like its all good! And as a bonus we will just get Artists Pallet in before they close for construction! Artist's Drive will be closed to all traffic for construction from January 2, 2017 through March 16, 2017

I had a nice lunch with vegashotwheeler and highwayman 2016. I've also got input from desertdweller.

Before I finalize/publish the planned route are there any people doing dirt?
I need to know if there is no dirt group. My plan for a street only group will be different if we don't need to meet up with dirt people.
